Oilfield Services

Oilfield services are a key component of RECO OIL LLC’s core business value chain. Supported by well-trained service crews and equipped with advanced and specialised technologies, the Company provides a comprehensive range of oilfield services, including geophysical prospecting, drilling, well logging, mud logging, and downhole operations.

Geophysical Prospecting

Geophysical prospecting represents a major segment of RECO OIL LLC’s international oilfield services portfolio. The Company operates more than 160 seismic crews worldwide, providing professional services in seismic data acquisition, processing, and interpretation across a wide range of geological settings.

RECO OIL LLC delivers high-resolution 2D, 3D, 3D VSP, 4D, multi-wave, and multi-component seismic acquisition services. These operations are carried out under diverse surface and environmental conditions, including mountainous and plateau regions, plains, deserts, jungles, swamps, tidal and shallow-water zones, and offshore areas. The Company has successfully executed seismic data acquisition, processing, and interpretation contracts for leading international energy companies, including Eni S.p.A., Total, Shell, PDVSA, Petronas, Woodside Energy, and DNO Norway.

In addition to its onshore operations, RECO OIL LLC is actively expanding its deep-water and offshore geophysical prospecting business. The Company has established specialised capabilities in deep-sea seismic acquisition and data processing, further strengthening its position in advanced offshore exploration services.

Through enhanced research and development efforts focused on core software, key equipment, and critical technologies and through the application of innovative solutions in frontier exploration, new operating areas, and emerging resource types, RECO OIL LLC provides advanced technical support for major oil and gas discoveries worldwide.

The efficiency and level of automation of the Company’s geophysical prospecting operations have been significantly improved through the deployment of newly developed technologies, including the GeoEast V3.3 processing and interpretation software, fibre-optic–based ultra-sensitive Distributed Acoustic Sensing (uDAS) seismographs, and GPR Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) systems. These advancements are complemented by the development and application of high-precision vibroseis equipment, geophysical prospecting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and specialised all-terrain vehicles.

In 2019, the Company completed the acquisition of 56,551 kilometres of 2D seismic data and 102,958 square kilometres of 3D seismic data. Average daily operational efficiency increased year-on-year by 16% for onshore 2D seismic acquisition and by 18% for onshore 3D seismic acquisition, reflecting the effectiveness of ongoing technological innovation and process optimisation.

Well Drilling

RECO OIL LLC has established a comprehensive drilling engineering and technical services system, comprising specialised companies engaged in drilling operations and capable of delivering drilling services to both domestic and international clients under a wide range of geographical, climatic, and geological conditions.

The Company has accumulated extensive experience in the drilling of ultra-deep wells, horizontal and directional wells, underbalanced wells, unconventional wells, and wells targeting complex and special reservoir types. A broad suite of underbalanced drilling technologies is available, utilising various media such as air, nitrogen, and natural gas.

In 2019, RECO OIL LLC spudded 11,596 wells and completed 11,403 wells, achieving a total drilled footage of 27.35 million metres, representing a year-on-year increase of 6.4%.

Company Mission

RECO OIL LLC aims to become a major international player with a regionally diversified asset portfolio across the whole value chain, actively contributing to regional development and demonstrating high standards of social and environmental responsibility.

Offshore engineering

RECO OIL LLC provides comprehensive offshore engineering services, including well drilling, completion, and cementing, formation and production testing, downhole operations, as well as the design and construction of offshore energy projects in deep-water environments worldwide.

In 2019, the Company spudded 106 offshore wells and completed 87, achieving a total drilled footage of 264,700 metres, representing a significant year-on-year increase. That same year, RECO OIL LLC secured a major contract for the pilot production of natural gas hydrates in deep water, enhancing its capabilities and competitiveness in advanced offshore operations. The Company also completed a contract for the construction of three offshore wind-farm booster stations, further demonstrating its expertise in diverse offshore engineering projects.

Well Logging

RECO OIL LLC operates well-equipped and highly experienced well-logging crews, capable of providing a full range of services, including well logging, perforation, integrated logging, data processing and interpretation, and reservoir evaluation under diverse geological and engineering conditions.

Leveraging state-of-the-art image logging, digital logging, perforation, and integrated logging tools, along with advanced software applications, the Company is able to carry out well-logging operations even under challenging conditions. A number of proprietary and specialised techniques have been developed for logging and perforation of extended-reach wells, horizontal wells, slim-hole sidetracked wells, and underbalanced wells, as well as for complex tool retrieval operations. Fast well-logging technologies, combined with well and mud-logging equipment developed under the Company’s independent intellectual property rights, are widely applied to shorten well-completion times and enhance operational efficiency.

The independently developed LEAD2.0 processing and interpretation software, which integrates multiple functions into a single system, can be used in conjunction with the EILog-05 logging unit to interpret data from low-porosity and low-permeability sandstone reservoirs. It enables accurate identification and evaluation of water-flooded formations, low-resistance reservoirs, fractured reservoirs, and gas-bearing formations.

In addition, RECO OIL LLC has developed an array induction imaging logger, as well as the Snow Wolf and Dema mud-logging units, which have been successfully applied in production operations. These technologies enhance reservoir identification and contribute to improved drilling performance.

Downhole Operation

RECO OIL LLC operates a large and well‑equipped downhole operations capability, supported by more than 2,000 specialised crews and a comprehensive range of equipment, including workover rigs, well‑pulling machines, dedicated service vehicles, and shallow‑sea workover barges. The Company provides a broad suite of downhole services, including well intervention, well overhaul, sidetrack drilling, hydraulic fracturing and acidising, and formation testing, tailored to diverse geological and field conditions.

RECO OIL LLC’s downhole operation teams support customers in more than ten countries and regions. In 2019, the Company completed 87,563 individual downhole operations, including 7,602 formation testing intervals, reflecting both the scale of its services and its commitment to operational excellence.
